someone who knows what women want..

I am so tired with dealing with my own thoughts and emotions. I am trying to sort thru this crap called life and contrary to popular belief it doesn’t seem to work itself out thru college and those “life long” experiences that I keep hearing about. So what now life?

Go to college…check
Live abroad…check
Be a Ski Instructor…check
Follow your dreams…half check
Figure it out…ha!

I realize this all sounds super bitter and cynical, but I am just so flipping frustrated. I am now a whopping 25 and still have no idea what I want to do, how to use my degree properly, or where my life is headed. One would have to consider this not the beat way to start off a new year of life. Oh a high note I am setting low standards for everyone looking to compare themselves to me at this moment. Your welcome.

I want a vacation from my thoughts…

this day needs to be seen in a day of your life.

I have returned happily from Julle and Jake’s wedding celebration. It was wonderful and beautiful and I can not say enough to do it justice. I wish them both the best and I love them very much.

Now that I am back in Chicago a lot has happened. I now have a permanent residence! Well, let’s be honest it is only semi-permanent, i.e. month to month leasing, because I am a forever committed to my commitment phobia. I will be living on the north-west side of the city, so if you’re around Chicago and want to play an epic game of “Where’s Waldo” starring me, go to the corner of Western and Armitage and you will have an extreme advantage.

I am very excited to live in the city and at the same time really nervous. I think it is because since I have moved to the windy city I feel as though all I have been doing is auditioning. I have audition for apartments with five other people by my side. Who thinks that this is the way to interview people for a living situation. Cut throat at best, just going down the line of eager souls who want to pay you money, judging them instantly and then selecting one in the end. Weird. Pick me, pick me, and finally someone did!

Chicago Checklist:
Theater role…Check!

Yup that’s right I have a whopping two things on my list, and I have got them both at the moment! I guess my modest ideals have brought me modest results. I must remember to always include a) become a millionaire, b) discover a cure for cancer, and c) solve world hunger.

Well I am off to Ravinia Park this evening to see the BoDeans. Can’t remember who they are? Ok let me help…

When Julle first called me over two years ago and told me she was engaged, that was no surprise. I was overjoyed, Julle has been one of my best friends since high school. We met at the ripe age of 13, and let me tell you we looked good!

I still remember Julle getting in trouble because she was trying to talk to Lyndsey and I in swim practice and we were in the next lane over, not by choice, but because Julle is an Olympic class athlete. She will never tell you this but it is true. And truth be told we would slow her down in her workouts and Johnson, the man with the plan/coach, would not be letting that happen. Julle was the pride of our swim team, and we all knew it, even though she would never have seen herself that way.

I loved all of those two a day practices, roaming the halls of Northglenn High wreaking of chlorine, and none of the other girls could understand how even if we showered we could still smell like a pool. We were not just on the team we lived in the pool and together. Julle and Lyndsey were by my side, and the next lane over, for 4 years.

And this Saturday Julle will be getting married. Jake you are a lucky man, I could not have better friends, and your fiance has shaped my life and will always be someone that I look up to. Her determination and competitiveness is unparallelled, class to the end win or lose. Julle has never lost the attitude of a high powered athlete and I don’t know many women of her stature that ever could.

I love you two dearly and I am so blessed to be a part of your wedding and a part of your beautiful future together. I am going to be the world’s best bridesmaid…PROMISE!

Love love love, and now to the party! KANSAS CITY HERE I COME!!

The always classy website of Texts From Last Night made me laugh out loud this morning maybe this will make you giggle as well.

I just woke up to three voicemails from you. In the first one you just straight laughed for 3 minutes. In the second you did bird calls. In the third you were hysterically crying. Have fun last night?

I just heard an advertisement on the radio for White Castle’s all natural Chicken rings. Now I am not a biology expert but I would love to see a NATURAL CHICKEN RING.

Come one come all...
